Mike Myers was legally forced to do this movie after he got sued by Universal for refusing to do Dieter's Day, a proposed film adaptation based on another one of Myers' many Saturday Night Live sketches, Sprockets. Part of the legal settlement Myers had with Universal was he was required to do a different movie for them.

So we need to find a copy of the book, read it and then see this movie to determine just how accurate an adaptation it is to determine who's fault this is because I know that M. Night Shyamalan wrote the movie adaptation of Stuart Little which I remember a lot of people actually liked more then the book because it changed a lot of things for the better. Also am I the only one who thinks the poster for this movie kinda looks like a ripoff of the poster from Silence of The Lambs?

I have to give props as well since this is based on my favorite mythology from Ireland. Irish lore is rarely filmed because, like Lovecraft, it emphasizes the unseen. This isn't a new favorite, but it was a well done first entry. I'm looking forward to seeing more from her in the future!

To me, the movie was very underwhelming compared to Fury Road. For one thing, what I like about Mad Max movies is that he's never the center of the movie. He STUMBLES into literally much more interesting characters and situations than him. He meets memorable characters, villains and heroes and people in between and I thought with Furiosa having a movie based on her, it'd be... more. Her being silent for most of the movie was a choice I didn't agree with. But I didn't want her to be a chatterbox either, but some more dialogue would ahve been nice, just to hear her thoughts... But eh. What I have the most trouble with is how much CGI is in this one. Fury Road did have CGI yes but it was background or used to do the zoom ins or the chase scenes... There is SO MUCH CGI! A lot of it looks faker than you would expect and I didn't see as much practical effects with the chase scenes as we saw in Fury Road and coming from seeing Fall Guy like a week before? I was HIGHLY disappointed. I guess it's an okay movie, but Fury Road was 100% better to me...

Honor Among Thieves is the best Dungeons and Dragons movie, also can we talk about the CGI on the monsters especially the Beholder? Yeah the beholder isn't the most pleasant looking monster species in the game (it's a floating head monster with multiple eyes), the CGI beholder looks so iffy in this.

How can a movie so loud simultaneously be so boring. The stuff with the young Furiosa drags on far too long and should have been drastically shortened. Chris Hemsworth is the worst villain of the series and comes across as a post apocalyptic Jack Sparrow and not the unique character we have come to expect. Loud is far too kind a description. It was deafening and several times I had to plug my ears. I left the theatre with a splitting headache. What distinguishes the other films is that there is clear objective and had some degree of hope at the end, but in Furiosa I had no idea what was going on as they jump from one action set piece to another. The series has never been strong on plot or stories and it's the characters that keep us invested, and we care about them. I loved Charlize Theron in Fury Road and though she is given very little dialogue and we know virtually nothing about her we sense her desperation to return to the "green place". Her eyes convey so much emotions that any expository dialogue would feel unnecessary. The premise is very simple. In Furiosa I couldn't care less about any of the characters. Being a prequel we know that nothing would happen to her so there's no real drama very. Bringing back characters from Fury Road was a huge mistake and made me miss the first film all the more. To say this was disappointing is an understatement. I don't see many movies anymore, and fewer that I genuinely look forward to. This should have had no connection with Fury Road and gone off in its own direction. I frankly didn't need to know how she lost her arm (made her own mechanical replacement), why she smeared grease on her forehead, or see what the green place looked like. I hope this the last of the Mad Max franchise, but I doubt it. I'm done. Nothing will equal what has come before. Many single out Beyond Thunderdome as being the worst but I think Furiosa deserves that place. Personally I love Beyond Thunderdome and will always defend it. Despite it's slight flaws it's a lot more fun than Furiosa.

15:52 Pattinson didn't call out that one. While filming Twilight, Meyer gave him a draft of Midnight Sun, basically Twilight in Edward's perspective, so Pattinson already knew at that time about Edward's backstory. Midnight Sun also includes a moment where he contemplates killing Bella and them her classmate ace murder style and well...we can't really blame Pattinson for hating the character.

I really wanted to love this movie, and there were a lot of great things in it - Anya and Chris's performances, the costumes, the cinematography and especially the War Rig fight - but I unfortunately couldn't connect to the structure. There was too much setup, most of the payoff was completely offscreen and the lack of a final fight in favor of just talking really confused me. At least the Guitar Guy cameo was appreciated.

Saw it with my brother recently. I didn't realize he hadn't seen Fury Road yet! He said he could follow the story perfectly well, so don't let that stop anyone. What might stop you is some really rough things happen to characters--worse than Fury Road. These films come out so infrequently that people may think of them as just another action movie. But it's the Mad Max universe, after all.

Pity that it kinda flopped extra hard (truth is, even Fury Road wasn’t THAT big a hit).. don’t think Miller is going to get to do another of these…especially since he’s now had back to back flops..he blew $60 million on that weird Tilda Swinton/Idris Elba 3000 years of Longing movie that bombed HORRIBLY two years ago (like, $9 million worldwide! Oh my god this is so disgusting. Wanting to go on vacation during Christmas is a thing! That has always been a thing, especially for older couples. Also that one family can go visit in laws for Christmas, but Luther and his wife saving money for a Christmas vacation is wrong? This movie never has Luther be in the right for wanting to just have a more quiet vacation Christmas and he’s painted as dang near satanic for wanting that. Then at the same time Luther is just as annoying with how childish he acts. This movie is actually messed up.
